Enrolling in BA 795, MBA Consulting Project, in Spring 2010? Deadline October 23.
The culminating experience for MBA students is a consulting project where a mastery of the skills and theories taught throughout the program are demonstrated. It is where you will apply research and analysis skills to real-world business situations. For the College of Business Administration to arrange for an adequate number of quality projects to match demand, we need an accurate count of the number of students who plan to enroll in BA 795 in Spring 2010. We ask that you notify us by October 23, 2009, of your intention to enroll in BA 795 in Spring 2010 by completing the BA 795 reservation form at http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~cba/grad/mba.html and emailing it to our office at sdsumba@mail.sdsu.edu. If you reserve your spot in BA 795 now, we will send you the information needed to register for the course shortly before the registration period starts. We will accommodate students who respond after October 23 on a space available basis.
Program of Study
The Program of Study (POS) is essentially a contract between the student, the department, and the university. The POS consists of the complete list of courses a student will take in order to satisfy the requirements for the degree. It includes both required coursework and electives. You may wish to consult with a faculty adviser or staff in the Graduate Business Programs office about your Program of Study. Once completed, the graduate business program coordinator, Suleka Puswella will submit the POS to the Graduate Division electronically for their review. If the POS meets all university requirements it is given final approval by the Graduate Dean and becomes binding. A Program of Study should be submitted no later than the semester prior to anticipated graduation. Any deviation from the specific master’s degree requirements listed in the Graduate Bulletin should be requested on a Petition for Adjustment of Academic Requirements. If you plan to graduate in Spring 2010, be sure to file your POS before the end of this semester.
